Gabriel
James has come a long way. He got his start playing coffee
shops in 2002 and recorded his first album in the first part of 2003.
Over the next 5 years, Gabriel and his band carved out a name for
themselves as a talented group of musicians playing original music that
stood apart from the average acoustic rock band. Jeremy Johnson
(drums), Kellie Nitz (upright bass), Erik Naslund (trumpet and guitar)
and Carolyn Gleason (piano and flute) joined Gabriel James on 3 albums
and helped support him in over 140 performances from Minneapolis to
Manhattan.
In early 2008, the business of being an independent musician caught up
with Gabriel and he made the difficult decision to step away from
booking, writing, recording, practice and the band.
It's been two years, and the itch is back. Stay tuned.
